UK Double Crochet (DC)
(Equivalent to US Single Crochet)
- Insert the hook into the stitch.
- Yarn over and pull through (you’ll now have 2 loops on your hook).
- Yarn over again and pull through both loops.
💡 Tip: The UK DC is the most basic, tight stitch, perfect for creating Items with no gaps
UK Half Treble Crochet (HTR)
(Equivalent to US Half Double Crochet)
- Yarn over before inserting the hook into the stitch (you’ll now have 2 loops on your hook).
- Insert the hook into the stitch.
- Yarn over again and pull through the stitch (you’ll have 3 loops on your hook).
- Yarn over one final time and pull through all 3 loops on your hook.
💡 Tip: The UK HTR gives a bit more height and drape than the double crochet.
UK Treble Crochet (TR)
(Equivalent to US Double Crochet)
- Yarn over before inserting the hook into the stitch (you’ll now have 2 loops on your hook).
- Insert the hook into the stitch.
- Yarn over and pull through the stitch (you’ll have 3 loops on your hook).
- Yarn over and pull through the first 2 loops on the hook (you’ll now have 2 loops remaining).
- Yarn over again and pull through the last 2 loops.
💡 Tip: This is one of the most versatile stitches for creating lacy or textured patterns.
