About Me

  Ailing from Sheffield, having attended a BTEC National Diploma in Fashion in Chesterfield and previously owned an alterations business in Sheffield, I wanted to hone my alterations and couture dream. This meant sourcing the best quality dress fabrics, if possibly locally, but unfortunately found there were no shops who sold dress fabric or dressmaking supplies within the Five Towns area of Wakefield.

Eventually, having had enough of touring North and West Yorkshire or going back home to the Steel City in South Yorkshire to buy the things that were needed, I realised there was a huge gap in the market to fill and the concept for Idea to Adorn was born.

Why should anyone hate their online purchases once they arrive or travel further than needed for more than what their item is worth? They shouldn't. They should be able to walk into a local shop and leave having been given THE best customer service, help and advice on their projects and purchases. You should have all your dressmaking needs met whether you're a total beginner or an advanced dressmaker.

Neither should there be an endless search for the classes you want to attend, especially as a beginner, so you will find everything you need on the site to turn your purchases into garments that you can be proud of.

I always aim to please so if you can't find what you're looking for i'll happily try to find it for you so please ask.
