Overlocker Course

Workshop Details:

The Overlocker (or Serger as the Americans call it) isn't as complicated as it looks.

By learning the most common techniques required in using an Overlocker along with everything explained in a way you'll understand, this class is GUARANTEED to build your confidence on your journey to sewing.

• ​Getting to know the anatomy of your Overlocker and how to use it will help with identifying issues you'll be able to confidently solve by yourself.
• Learn how to thread it up so that will help with finishing off projects nicely and how to problem solve with tensions.
• Create a portfolio of sewing samples, guidance, hints and tips for future reference.​

You will need:

• Your own machine
• Sewing Kit
• 4 different colour threads
• Scrap fabric to sew with
• An A4 pocket book or ring binder to put your collection

​These are available to purchase on site or on the website.

Workshop Duration:

Three hours a day, every week for 4 weeks.  Please arrive 10 mins to sign in and sort out.

Cost:

£30 non refundable deposit is possible to hold your place, but workshop must be paid for in full 24hrs before attending.

While every care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the colours depicted in our images, please be aware that due to monitor resolution, lighting, photo processing software and other factors it is almost impossible to represent colour to 100% accuracy but we always attempt to do our best. If you have any doubts or questions we guarantee THE best customer service and aim to help you find out what you need, but please bear in mind that we are an independent business so run sociable hours.
